Job Summary
We are a Preschool inside of a retirement community and provide an Intergenerational experience to our Grandfriends and our Preschool children. As a Lead Teacher at Kendal Early Learning Center, you’ll help educate and care for our littlest residents. You’ll provide a safe and loving environment that nurtures the social, emotional, cognitive, creative, and physical development of each child.
Responsibilities
- Creates lesson plans that are balanced and appropriate to development levels
- Document learning experience through observations, displays, and pictures
- Maintains positive informal and formal communication with families on a daily basis
- Maintains a safe, comforting and stimulating environment for all preschoolers
- Facilitates and maintains childcare licensing standards
- Friendly and a desire to work as a team in a rewarding, fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a preschool environment
- Strong verbal communicator with an upbeat personality who is comfortable and excels with speaking to parents
- Energetic, nurturing, positive, child-friendly personality
- Shows initiative; strong work ethic
- High school diploma and must have a degree in Early Childhood or be working towards it
Compensation: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Our goal is to strengthen the knowledge, skills and abilities of directors, owners, emerging leaders and other early learning professionals to ensure quality programs for young children.
