We are seeking special candidates for immediate hire to join our team of AppleTree Academy Teachers. We offer children a warm, rich, high-quality learning experience which celebrates the individuality of each child. Our warm, positive environment values students and staff alike and provide best practices from infancy through six years old.

Qualified candidates will need to be reliable, responsible and have a passion for educating children. In addition, candidates must:

-MUST LOVE CHILDREN

-Lead Teacher needs to have a CDA or Associates Degree from an accredited college or program

-Have a clear understanding of child development

-Have a strong desire to work with young children

-Be knowledgeable of child development

-Be eager to learn and develop on the field of early childhood

-Be willing to be coached / guided

-Be able to work closely with a team

-Have a calm / patient demeanor

-Be able to carry the physically demanding work of lifting and holding children for hours and sitting on the floor

-Relate positively with young children in a mature and responsible fashion

-Maintain a professional personal appearance

-Assists in other capacities, as determined by the Director

Compensation: $14.25 - $19.00 per hour

Play must be a fundamental component of early childhood care and education. We use a child’s discovered interests observed through play to develop age-appropriate classroom curricula. A child’s eventual transition to kindergarten and later schooling is best served through child-centered, play-based learning combined with a degree of age-appropriate, organized, didactic, structured learning.
