Job Description for Playful Summer Camp Teacher:
We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic individual to join our summer camp team as a Playful Summer Camp Teacher. This position will be responsible for creating an engaging learning environment that is fun and educational for our campers. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children ages 5-12, enjoy planning and organizing recreational activities, possess excellent classroom management skills and be committed to fostering a safe, inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
• Teach lesson plans that are designed to stimulate the imagination of each camper
• Develop fun and interactive activities such as crafts, games, sports and other outdoor activities
• Provide assistance to campers in areas such as eating meals, personal hygiene and dressing appropriately
• Ensure that all safety protocols are being followed at all times by monitoring campers’ behavior
• Monitor the progress of each camper on a regular basis and provide feedback to their parents or guardians on their development
• Help maintain order during camp events by assisting with crowd control when necessary
Qualifications:
• Degree in education or related field (preferred)
• 1+ years of experience working with children in a supervised setting (preferred)
• A current criminal background check certificate from the state of residence (required)
• Ability to work well independently as well as part of a team environment
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
