SMART Montessori Music provides music and movement classes to all children (infant through 5 years and possibly lower elementary) and some drama summer camps at private, licensed Montessori preschools. 

Children learn best in a multi-sensory environment and music provides this in a fun way. Each class in the school will come to our music classes for 20-30 minutes with their classroom teacher once per week in the morning between 8:30 or 9 am to around noon depending on the school.

Our Music & Movement classes are filled with music and movement and thematic singing based on the season and holidays of the month using a wide array of music including Charlotte Diamond, Peter & Ellen Allard, Miss Carole Peterson, and seasonal LDS Children's Music. 

Music/drama teachers need not have formal music/drama degrees or training, just a love for young children and joy of singing and moving to music. 

Paid training, monthly thematic curriculum, and music will be provided. Teachers only need to provide their own CD player or speaker/phone setup. 

Morning Music Classes will be paid at a starting rate of $25/hr.

OPTIONAL HOURS AVAILABLE AT SOME SCHOOLS: In some schools, parents also have the option to pay for after lunch/naptime group piano (max 3 in a group), private piano, and/or group music camp classes. No previous formal piano skill is required. Group & Beginner Piano lessons at schools are VERY basic, go very slowly, and follow Alfred’s Little Mozart Curriculum. All training will be given IF a teacher wants to also teach these additional classes. These additional piano/ music camp hours will have a pay of $40/hr.

On-job training paid at $15/hr will be given as soon as hired at various school(s).

Little Elm/McKinney/Frisco area: need a music teacher for at least 3 mornings/wk. Right now, we for sure need Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday mornings. 

Possible Optional additional hours available teaching piano, music camp & drama summer camps.

***You will be required to pay for your own licensing background check/fingerprinting fees and Pediatric CPR/1st Aide certifications before training is completed.
