About the Role
Partner with a Lead Teacher to support a play-based, hands-on classroom for Pre-K children (ages 4–5). You’ll help foster curiosity, creativity, and kindness while supporting children’s social-emotional growth, kindergarten readiness, and cognitive development.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily classroom instruction and hands-on activities including literacy, math, STEAM, sensory play, art, and science
- Help implement curriculum using Creative Curriculum and thematic lesson plans
- Set up learning centers, prepare materials, and maintain smooth daily routines
- Support children’s social-emotional development, problem-solving, and cooperative play
- Observe and document developmental milestones for portfolios and parent updates
- Communicate effectively with families using our Parent Engagement App (training provided)
- Ensure classroom health, safety, and sanitation following RIDHS regulations
- Supervise children indoors and outdoors, maintaining proper ratios and safety standards
- Collaborate with teaching staff and float between classrooms as needed
- Participate in professional development, staff meetings, and ongoing training
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; CDA, RIELDS coursework, or ECE training preferred
- Experience working with young children in preschool, childcare, camp, or similar settings
- Warm, patient, dependable, and enthusiastic about learning through play
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Familiarity with digital parent engagement tools is a plus
- CPR/First Aid preferred or willingness to obtain

Compensation: $15.50 - $19.50 per hour
