As a Part-Time Infant Teacher at Rising Starz Child Care Center, you will help create a safe, calm, and nurturing environment for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months. We are looking for someone who values consistency, professionalism, teamwork, and strong relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Provide attentive and nurturing care for infants ages 6 weeks to 18 months
- Maintain a safe, clean, calm, and responsive classroom environment
- Support feeding, diapering, naps, transitions, and daily routines with consistency and care
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers
- Maintain daily communication with families in a professional and welcoming manner
- Observe and respond to each child’s developmental needs, cues, and routines
- Support social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development through responsive caregiving and age-appropriate interactions
- Help maintain classroom records, daily logs, and required documentation
- Follow DFPS Minimum Standards and support Texas Rising Star expectations
- Work collaboratively with leadership and team members to support classroom and program goals
- Model professionalism, reliability, and a strong team-centered attitude
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 1 year of previous experience in an infant classroom or licensed childcare setting required
- Must meet DFPS requirements for employment in a licensed childcare center
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Positive, nurturing, patient, and professional approach with children and families
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and initiative
- Ability to work well within an established team and classroom structure
- Physically able to lift, carry, and actively care for infants throughout the day
- 2 or more years of experience in an infant classroom or licensed childcare setting
- Experience in a Texas Rising Star program
- Familiarity with Texas Rising Star quality practices
- Familiarity with classroom documentation, developmental milestones, and licensing standards
- Ability to communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking children and families
