Sakonnet Early Learning Center seeks a nurturing and dynamic Pre-K Teacher to join our experienced early education team. This role is perfect for educators passionate about preparing children for kindergarten through hands-on, theme-based learning that sparks creativity, independence, and a love for school.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead engaging, standards-aligned Pre-K curriculum focused on kindergarten readiness
- Build foundational literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional skills
- Track and document developmental milestones using observation and assessment tools
- Foster a warm, inclusive classroom where every child feels seen and supported
- Partner with families to promote learning both in and out of the classroom
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure consistency and excellence
What We’re Looking For:
- CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field)
- Minimum of 2 years of Pre-K teaching experience in a licensed early childhood setting
- Strong curriculum planning and classroom management skills
- Knowledge of child development, kindergarten readiness benchmarks, and positive behavior support strategies
- Warm, reliable, and team-oriented with strong communication skills
- Must be 18+ and able to pass all background checks
