Sakonnet Early Learning Center is hiring a Preschool Teacher for our Pre-K classroom. Unlike many public school paraprofessional roles, we offer year-round stability, hands-on classroom leadership, and opportunities for career advancement in early childhood education.

We Welcome Candidates With:
- Preschool or childcare experience
- Public school paraprofessional experience
- Camp counselor or youth program experience
- Behavioral health, ABA, or human services background
- Coaching, tutoring, mentoring, or classroom support experience
- Strong customer service or team leadership skills involving children

What You’ll Do
- Lead engaging Pre-K learning experiences in literacy, math, STEM/STEAM, and play-based instruction
- Implement the Creative Curriculum and developmentally appropriate practices
- Support social-emotional learning and positive classroom behavior
- Maintain a safe, structured classroom environment
- Communicate with families and collaborate with a supportive teaching team
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with children preferred
- CDA or ECE coursework is a plus
- CPR/First Aid (or willingness to obtain)
- Must pass required background checks

Compensation: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
The Association for Early Learning Leaders is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has been serving directors, owners and administrators of early care and education programs since 1984. Our goal is to strengthen the knowledge, skills and abilities of directors, owners, emerging leaders and other early learning professionals to ensure quality programs for young children.
